classified an auctions website - paypal link stopped working plus template error

I have a small classifed and auctions website, using geodesic solutions software.
Need 2 problems resolved:
1. The auctions are no longer able to connect to paypal when someone presses on the button to do so.
2. Customers get a template error when trying to manage their storefronts. the template may be missing.
I had a smarty template removed about 2 years ago that was knocking the entire wesbite offline. My web host company foudn the offending template and removed it but I do not know what template they removed to resolve the problem. This may be part of that same problem.
I can forward copies of the error messages sent to admin to whomever takes the project if needed.
