The project is to create an online airfare search & marketing system encouraging registered users by email to book fares through our company. The web-based system will function similar to [[url removed, login to view]][1] or www.bookingbuddy.com.
- Users come to our website and enter flight search parameters into a [url removed, login to view] information will pre-populate into several reservation booking forms including our own tool ([url removed, login to view]) and several web based booking tools of which we are affiliates (Orbitz, Travelocity, etc.)
The user will select one or more of the tools to do a airfare search. The actual seraches arenot part of this project. It is the automation of filling in the search paramters into the existing reservation systems that we are requesting.
The search parameters are stored and then provided back to the user periodically via an email auto responder/notification. The user has the option to "opt in" to receive a weekly airfare update. Depending on the complexity this weekly update may consist of either:
1. a airfare price quote based upon an automated search of the stored travel parameters, or
2. a form with the search parameters prepopulated whereby the recepient can elect to click on the search button for a search. this information would then prepopulate into the selected reservation search tool.
- Design both the query application and the database. Front end is required
- Prior experience programming with air travel websites and affiliate programs, preferred; Experience designing complex relational databases
