I am doing some voluntary work with a community centre who are looking for a website.
Its a charity so they do not have masses of money. you will do design and website. needed:
1) membership site so people can join and newsletter sent.
2) a forum for members (only postable by those who sign up but viewed by all)
3) a activities page that shows all the clubs that are present in the club (10 i think) along with contact details for each club supervisor and timings.
4) front page should show content and main news which should be easily changeable
5) club history page, which should also be easily updateable.
pretty basic really. but it needs to be fully functional and easy to use and update by volunterrs. You may be able to use joomla for this.

Can provide Joomla or phpBB based CMS that is more lightweight than joomla but has all the features you want. I have experience in customizing phpBB based CMS as well as phpBB itself.
