Desktop Pictures Automatically Updated

This is a very SIMPLE project. Made with VB6, the purpose of this software should be to AUTOMATICALLY update and replace the current desktop background picture by a new picture, each time the software owner turns on its computer. 30 jpeg pictures will be included with the software and will display randomly but never doubled and one picture per day max. Once the 30 pictures got diplayed, the software will pop-up an information window with a link to our web-site AND, most important, a code provided by us through a little additional monitoring software. The subscriber will then connect to us again and download a new version of the software with a new set of 30 pics and a new code and so forth.

Complete copyrights to all work purchased. ************ S P E C I F I C A T I O N S ************ 1) INSTALLATION PROCESS First of all, let's call the software "DAILY PICS". The software will be downloadable from our website as an .exe or so. Thus, we want our subscribers to be just a click away from having the software running on their computer : the software should install itself during or just after the download process and start running. 2) GLOBAL SET-UP We want you to build a little additional monitoring software called "daily pics monitor" which will separately allow us to update automatically the main software with the following updates : - Change the 30 jpeg pictures. - Set a code (10 letters or numbers). It shouldn't be generated randomly by the software, WE will have to simply input manually this code in a field. - Change the name of the software (i.e. "DAILY PICS 1", then "DAILY PICS 2", then "DAILY PICS 3" etc.) , WE will input manually this name in a field. Then, we should be able to press a button and this will update OUR version of the main software, located in a folder decided by you. 3) RUNNING PROTOCOLE The software should run each time the subscriber turns on the computer and windows starts. The first step will be to check that the subscriber did'nt delete any picture from the "daily picture" folder. The software should thus check that there is always 30 pictures in this folder and check their names, in order to not allow the subscriber to replace our pictures with his own pics. An error message should appear "you changed or deleted one of our picture, please download the software again" and place a link to our website. When everything is ok , the software will choose randomly from the set of 30 pictures, a 800x600 pixels jpeg format picture from the "daily picture" folder. This picture should replace the current desktop background picture, but shouldn't be displayed twice. And there should be only one picture displayed per day. The software should prevent the subscriber to change the background picture by any manner. The picture should remain all day long. You could start the software again also anytime the subscriber ptries to press "OK" from the "Display properties / Background" window of Microsoft Windows. We need indeed, for advertising purpose, to have the subscriber actually watching the background pic the whole day and prevent any "trick" to avoid it. Say it's monday morning. The software chooses the named "sunshine" pic when the subscriber turns on the computer and displays it as the desktop background. If the subscriber turns the computer off and on again Monday evening, the background pic should remain "sunshine". But even if he turns it on again only Wednesday or later on the week, the pic #2 "Moonlight" will replace the first one. But "Sunshine" will never appear again. ANYTIME. EVER. There should be a total of 30 "sessions". And so forth until the 30 pictures have all been displayed once. Then, a pop-up message should appear with the following message : "Please connect to .... our website adress link ...., and enter the following code : ... code set by us with the monitoring software .... Thank you." This pop-up message will be the only window the subscriber will see from the software. There should be though also an "uninstall" option for the software. In the windows display/Background properties, "Picture Display" should automatically be set to "Stretch" by the software when Windows starts. It's very important to understand that the software should run by itself anytime windows is running. The picture size will be between 50 and 75 kbites max. ******************************************************
