Project Description:
Need custom php code written to provide Marketing Campaign Tracking. End result will be a Wordpress plugin that will capture and pass data regarding visitor sourcing.
Marketing Campaign Tracking (aka adSource)
WordPress platform website will capture campaign marker variable using 2 different methods
- A GET variable named adSource
• ?adSource=
- A rewrite rule that allows for capturing the same information as above but displays as .htm page to the public
• .htm
• Rewrite rule converts into ?adSource=
This variable should be stored in the visitor’s session or a cookie so that they may navigate around the website freely while keeping this tracking intact.
This variable will be used when the site visitor uses embedded links to visit any of client's target pages (e.g. pre-screener questionnaire page)
