database application in VC++

i need an application that can do the following. 1. Server: accepts records from client 2. client sends a record to the database, to be added and gets response. Its an idea of a phone book, just with few fields like: id, name*, firstname*, adress*, zip*, city*, country*, phone, mobile, email the fields with * are obligatory. The client has a form to enter the data of the request. The server gets the insert request, tries to add it to db. Exceptions are: the name and fist name already exist, others errors must be sent back to client or else a response says that the record is entered correctly. More, the client can ask the server to browse all records, search for records, update and delete records. all operations on the database must be implemented in the server all requests come from client to server through network. i want also enough comments on the code
