Target Platform is Macintosh OS X A non-intrusive messaging application. needs to be able to locate other user on a local network and add them to a user list, a main goal is simplicity. All a user would need to do is launch the app and enter their name. All clients would need to watch the network for users that come on and go off as well as user status. The tool is aimed at code developers. It would have to NOT munge code if odd characters are used (such as html, javascript, C, etc.) This is the problem all other message clients has as they all seem to butcher code. The tool would also allow for simple file exchanges (could use ftp or built in OS methods for exchanges). To exchange a file drag and drop a file onto a user name in the user list and it would either show up on the destinations desktop or in the destinations set files folder. Several options should be allowed. 1) a recipient should be able to set their status.(away, dnd, out, etc) 2) a recipient should be able to set receive folders for each sender or one global receive folder. 3) recipient should have the ability to refuse or accept file xfers or accept all. The main interface is simply a menubar. The menu would allow a user to set status send a message to a remote user initiate a file exchange. Other windows would be user list window, a window for messages and a file Xfer progress dialog, pref settings. We can provide diagrams of what we are looking for and can provide icons and artwork. This is stage 1 with plans for additions on a future version. such as conference chats. scheduled chat invitations and reminder notes.

Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. 2 months of time after final app is delivered for bug testing. incremental builds to access project status and testing purposes.
