Project is to incorporate an external library into an Android application :
CMUSphinx ([login to view URL]) is an opensource voice recognition library that has a mobile version.I also have a very basic Android framework that I will provide.
if you are not familiar, using cmusphinx you create your own dictionary by listing a number of words that you want the system to recognize through the microphone. they have a utility that generates the phonetic sounds their library will look to recognize.
The project is to incorporate the cmusphinx library into my android framework. The application will instantiate CMUSphinx mobile on startup...any voice commands will be heard and the result will be printed on the screen. it will need to load the dictionary file on startup and have a button somewhere to reload if we update it.
This could lead to many follow up projects.
