Analyze some video data using Kinovea
$2-8 AUD / hora
We are conducting a project designed to help people manage anxiety because we believe that education and training can help people overcome fear. We are looking for someone with high attention to detail who is accurate and efficient in their work because accuracy is important for the success of the project. To assess the accuracy of a putting task we conducted, your role will be to skim through the videos of the putts and tag the positions at which each ball stops. Here’s a breakdown of what will be involved, with a screencapture attached here ([url removed, login to view]): 1. Export the video to Kinovea (which can be downloaded for free from [url removed, login to view]) 2. Crop the video between the first putt and last putt (there are 10 putts each video) 3. Set coordinate system origin on the pink dot in the video 4. Calibrate between any of the two coloured dots; do this once and calibrate length as 0.3048m (i.e., the distance between two corresponding coloured dots) 5. The next step is to track each step of the 10 putts. Start with the 1st putt, play the video until the ball comes to a stop. Then track the golf ball (by right clicking and clicking ‘Track’) and configure (right clicking again) it as putt1 (under the heading “label”). Then right click the point again and end the track. That’s the first putt done 6. Continue this with all 10 putts (Note: if the ball travels outside the screen of vision, mark the point of that particular putt at the bottom right corner of the screen). At the end you should have all 10 putts calibrated and labelled 7. Then export the data to excel. What you will see is a spreadsheet of data with 10 putt labels. Copy from the first table (from the purple title “track”) down to your last table of putt10 8. Paste this into the new excel document “Final putting output” file into cell location A1 of the “1st round” tab. 9. Repeat the process for “2nd round.” There are two videos that we would like you to code for the purpose of this gig, with your involvement likely to expand over the next year. If you would like to be considered for this project, please start your application with two pieces of information: 1) what is Kinovea designed for? And 2) how many YouTube subscribers do I have?. This job will not be eligible for a milestone, but will be paid via invoice upon delivery. We expect that coding these two videos will take around 2.5 hours.
The excel file is attached and the two videos are available here:
