What we need is to to turn on/off an Amazon Ec2 instance with Ubuntu, execute a command to update the hostname, and update the A record in Route53 to access to this instance, then after working on it let the users shut it down with another click. Have implemented similar setup for AWS EC2 instances in different DNS environments, can implement this perfectly.
I am working with amazon AWS for 12 months. I know AWS JAVA API very well. I think I can write a JAVA program for you to do this job.
