The goal of this project is to turn an Arduino device input ON/OFF by writting to the serial port once a video marker has been reached in a Silverlight5 Media player. You do not need to have knowledge of the Arduino device. This device has been programmed and is fucntioning. You will need to know how to add user controls to the media player and how to handle video maker events once the marker is reached.
This project requires the following tasks:
1) Adding a combo select button to an MS Expression Media player that allows a user to select a COM port
2) Coding an eventhandler to handle the COM port selection
3) Adding a marker that triggers a serial port write event - (A 1 or 0 should be written to the serial port when the marker is reached. The code to write to a serial port via and in-browser application has already been written and tested. This code needs to be modified slightly to work with the Media player).
The end product will be a Silverlight 5 Media Player that successfully turns ON/OFF the Arduino input when a marker is reached in the video.
