Character Graphic Design

I need a character graphic for my website.

The website is sport activities related and the character is essentially the motivator for users of the site.

The character guides users along the system and adopts different facial expressions depending on if it is happy with the users training progress or not.

Numerous facial expressions and body language graphics are needed in different sizes.

The character is Japanese. It is to look like a Samurai but with an 'web avatarish' slant on the design along with some humour in the expressions/body language.

The expressions/body language it will need to convey are:

1. None

2. Sad

3. Happy

4. Contempt

5. Suprise

6. Confused

7. Elated

8. Asleep

9. Thinking

10. Has an idea

The character must be forward facing 2D or 3D, I don't mind.
