Hi there everyone.

We need a function developed so that we can can call a Classic ASP function and it will add a subscriber to MailChimp through their API and apply certain Static Segments to that subscriber. We also need to be able to create & send a campaign to subscribers that are members of that Static Segment. Remember, this MUST be done in Classic ASP!! If you already have a script doing this, GREAT! Easy $$ for you :). There is nothing really "custom" about this, just need to be able to create static segments too (if it does not already exist).

We would make a Function call to you with the needed information and your program should do the rest, returning what it needs to, if anything.

Information on this here: [login to view URL] and [login to view URL]

Please let us know if you have any questions or need more information.

Thank you!

Dennis

Just wanted to clarify a few things to be sure the original post was not confusing:

* The deliverable will be the full Classic ASP code to carry out the requested work
* Function should be able to create static segments if they do not exist
* After adding the user to the static segment, we need code that will send an email to the static segment list of subscribers (this is a separate function from the "add subscriber" function). Picture this: an "add subscriber" button on a page as well as a "send campaign" button next to it. Each does a different task via a different function.

Just want to make sure everyone udnerstood exactly what we need. Thanks!

We had a few more questions about this project, so we will post an example of how we will use it to be more descriptive:

This is not just adding an email & name to a mailing list via MailChimp's API - that is easy and there is an out-of-the-box Classic ASP example to do this.

We need to be able to add a user to a list (if they do not exist already) and then apply that user to different segments (that we will pass to the function) so we can email a list of subscribers at some point in the future. For example, say Jane Doe buys 3 things: a guitar, a baseball bat, and a pen. We need to create the record for Jane Doe (if it does not exist already), create 3 static segments (one for "music", "baseball", and "writing" - we would send to you comma delimited most likely) - unless the segment already exists, and then apply Jane to those segments (we would need to be returned the segment identifier as well so we can attach to our system I guess).

Then, we need a separate function to send an email to that segment of subscribers that, for example, likes music or likes to write. Know what I mean? This second part should be pretty easy & strait forward.

Thanks! Please let me now if any other questions.
