I require a logo for a new web app that is currently in progress - HeySchool

Its main purpose if for schools and parents to communicate with each other, so the logo should somehow encapsulate that.

I am picturing an icon (which can be reused, separate from the logo itself), with the word heyschool/HeySchool/HEYSCHOOL to the right of it.

The addition of a small colour palette that fits in well with the main colour would be greatly appreciated.

The delivered formats of the logo must include SVG, allowing me to easily animate paths at some point. Any submissions not stating this in a comment may just be ignored. Please also confirm that the design is unique - if you've taken inspiration from another logo please send links so I can make the call as to whether it's different enough.

I'm not keen on especially colourful logos, that's not to say colour should be avoided of course, but nothing to glarish.

The brief is fairly succinct, but might be lacking, if you have any questions that can help you get it just right please just ask.

I expect to get quite a few submissions, please don't be offended if I reject without commenting or rating, if I do that it's likely your style is not going to be a good fit with what I'm after. Any letterhead/office signage submissions will be rejected, this is a purely digital company for the forseeable future.

    I'm sorry to see that a few of you feel that this contest is fake, but I can promise you it's not. I paid extra for sealed entries and to feature the contest, and also to extend it as I had still not received an entry that hit the spot. If I were trying to 'rack up jobs count', I could have achieved this without paying extra to freelancer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      Everything is coincidence. The CH and the Winner both belong to UK, we feeling fishy about the judgement, so and so. It's quite normal that people here have thoughts like that. If you're legit, good for you. If you're not, it's OK. We tried our best, but couldn't nail it. It happens in contests. No regrets. Cheers.

    This is a 100% fake contest. Because the winner ID was created today. And contest holder won his job. And here there is only one buyer and one designer. This is the second ID of the buyer. Therefore, everyone has tried in vain. Lol ..................

      So the winner which is basically the contest holder...this method improves the (winner) profile as being so called 'racking up job count', thus in the the end ....they have a high chance of being seen by other employers to get jobs.?????Is this what you mean>?

    Good day David. Just a couple of questions - 1. Is there a live-chat on the platform? How does the whole communicating work? 2. Are there plans for a mobile app in the forseeable future? 3. Is it something that would be adopted by other schools or it's solely for your purpose? if it'll be adopted, what kind of schools are you targeting (References)? who are you looking to attract? 4.       1. no, at least not right away. Email and SMS.
      2. unlikely for the first year
      3. other schools, UK primary first. Looking to attract head teachers mainly.

      Apologies Younes. I would love to take the time to give everyone detailed feedback, but with the number of submissions I've received it's just not possible. Freelancer estimated a couple of hundred when I was setting the prize, at the time of writing this there have been 1,997! So in fact this apology goes out to all who have had rejected submissions without an explanation.
