We are a foot care products retail (www.lifebalance.ae). We sell:

1. Customized insoles (LifeBalance), and
2. Sandals detailed as follows:
a. Reflexology (Relaxus)
b. Axign (Arch support and style)
c. Telic (Arch support and style)

We perform foot assessment at our kiosks utilizing a special device (JPGs starting with Kiosk). Each kiosk will have two devices.

Also, we sell other foot care products to support feet (corrective and preventive) and other products that take care of the feet (fungus treatment, dry skin, odors etc...)

Visibility is important, thus we only utilize kiosks (not stores) for our business located in the path of shoppers in malls. Photos for three of our existing kiosks are shown (JPGs starting with LifeBalance...) The stores as it stand, do not display the sandals or the foot care products properly.

The new design will present insoles, sandals and foot care products. Kiosk must look attractive and luring.

To provide the designers with ideas, we took photos for existing Crocs sandals (JPGs starting with Crocs...). Another one that we liked mainly the display stand for the sandals was Havaianas (JPGs starting with Havayana....). We believe that a major marketing tools is to show the condensed and tight look for the sandals stand.

Also, we saw a shop called Wallet that offers walk in concept that we think is applicable for us (JPGs starting with Wallet...)

Finally the style and design of the kiosk must be modern, simple and elegant. In other words, we need a nordic style kiosk. Our major brand is FootBalance and we like their style (JPGs starting with LifeBalance…). Feel free to implement another style as long as it is simple and elegant.

To summarize, we need something that is 1. Ergonomically sound, 2. Pragmatic and 3. Simple. The stand dimensions are 3x3 meters

Suggested layout:

The kiosk layout will contain (JPGs starting with Kiosk):

1. Double face sandals stand, preferably one for each brand (four in total). Since each stand shall utilize a steel mesh with removable hooks, we won’t be constrained by the sandals different sizes or layouts coming from manufacturers. The stands will have lockable wheels.
2. One stand for foot care products (please refer to our website for products details). The stand will have lockable wheels.
3. Two foot assessment devices placed against each other (Check JPG: Kisok.Design.Devices.Back2back).
4. Console in the middle between the two devices to place the POS, cleaning material and staff belongings (light coat, bag and sandwich).
5. Two square seats for customers
6. Raised floor to handle the connections

Dimensions for assessment device, insoles package, sandals package are shown JPGs starting with Kiosk.

An explanatory drawing for the sandals & insoles stand and top view for the kiosk is also included.

The final drawings must be suitable for a contractor to build the kiosk

  As you can see, most of the work is done; we just need a designer's touch to visualize it and add missing elements that only a designer would know such as the name Life Balance (must be both in Arabic and English). Also, the stands need a sign on top and banner on the sides

The maximum height for the stands is different according to each mall regulations, however we'd like the contestants to suggest a suitable height to maximize storage and not impair vision
