Resumen del concurso

Needs: Power a Led or a EL Wire. Strobe/Flash mode.
Power Source: High Frecuency AC.
Using a boost converter and a full bridge rectifier, charging a capacitor to make a led flash (In a few words) Open to better solutions.
Power Source Frecuency goes from 1.6 KHz to 2.5 KHz and 5.2KHz to 6.2KHz (2 types of power source.) Voltage rates from 0.4 Volts (min) to 5 Volts (max). Current: 400mA aprox.

Is it possible? What will be the charging time? Thanks in advance.

I'd need these clarifications: 1) ac as in voltage going -ve as well or just a pulsating DC which stays between 0.4 V to 5 V? 2) If ac where it goes -ve, is it -5V to +5V or something else? 3) What is the average voltage and rms voltage of the ac waveform that you are getting? 4) What do you mean by current 400 mA approx? 5) Do you want any particular LED or can I select any small LED on my own? 6) Is it acceptable if LED stays ON rather than flashing? If not, is there a particular flash style that you want? 7) What is the estimated target price for the circuit that you want? 8) What do you mean by charging time? 9) Are you OK if I use a microcontroller in the circuit? 10) What all do you want in deliverables? - just a pic of schematic and pcb layout or gerbers as well?

I will start the work now. Some bad news for you. It will contain some smd components. I will keep the circuit as simple as possible. You can add the bells and whistles later.

No problem about smd, can send it to be printed and soldered. Thanks.

hi! from what i understand you want a stroboscope? could you be more detailed in your description please? what is the voltage rating of the LED you want to use? i am asking because you mentioned a boost converter. please be clearer with your description, thank you!

also, please provide me with the rated voltage of the LED or light source. would it be ok with you if i design a power supply that need to be connected to the wall socket? or do you want it to be powered by batteries? thank you!

No Sara, maybe i dont explained it well but check description and my comments to user eaglewiz. I need it to be powered by the "power supply" i have, not a wall socket, nor batteries. I dont know the Led specs because i think it will depends of how much power my "power supply" can deliver. I only need it to be clearly visible at night. It doesnt matter if its on strobe mode or continuous lightning. Ok? Thanks.

I can´t because i only know what i want, not the way to do it. That´s what i am asking here. So it´s useless i make a handraw of it. Thanks.
