As an academic and professional writer, I have published many articles and a book. I enjoy reading, editing and creating. I graduated from University of Cambridge in 2004, and my PhD thesis focused on a political biography of the First Prime Minister of Ceylon.
I have 15 years of experience working for the United Nations and have worked in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Jordan and Turkey. Grant writing, project planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation have been my core strength and job with the UN.
I am currently an affiliated scholar with the Centre for South Asian Studies at the University of Cambridge and working on my next publication.
I am a team player and a hard worker with a keen eye for detail, grammar and comprehension. I am conscious of time constraints and parameters of projects. My love for reading, writing and creativity is the reason why I am venturing into freelance work.
