IDE is used for faster development of Software and ease of use and reduces many complex operations which have to done manually. In 8051 microcontroller for example if we want to write a code and try to flash on kit if we have to purchase the IDE for faster and smother writing of the code which are commercial and are very costlier( in terms of lakhs), but a student or startup company wants to develop software on top of microcontroller they cannot effort such huge money, So We have come with a IDE(Eclipse) which is freely available and have integrated the SDCC(8051 Compiler) plugins into it.
