SPH die-casting simulation. I developed the high-performance GPU version, and I also supplied the pre and post-processing tool used to create this video.

Rewrote some old Fortran simulation code into C++. FIxed some existing problems, and added some new functionality.

Physics Simulation with Code Modernization and Enhancements

This system links potential dog adopters to nearby dog rescue centers.

Rescue centers can upload images of available dogs and set basic iinfo about the dog such as breed, age, and gender.

Visitors can view the adoptable dogs from nearby rescue centers on a large-format carousel display, and if they find one can then reach out to the particular rescue center.

The system also periodically displays sponsor messages from dog-loving patrons.

iPhone + BLE sensor collects data samples. Data is stored and analyzed on web server.

I developed the entire prototype system,. This then became a team project once the prototype project was approved. I then concentrated on the iPhone portion, which involved BLE, a somewhat fancy UI, charts, database, and AJAX.

I developed the TenGun Point Cloud Pre/Post Processing app. This is used to create particle data for SPH, DEM, and other types of engineering analysis apps, and then to view the results of those analyses.

Detecting Angles of Faces and Eyes in Images

I am often conflicted with the use of superlatives when giving feedback reviews but in this instance I have to say that working with Bill was an absolute pleasure. Easy. Intelligent. Thinking and Doing above and beyond the call of duty, so to speak. Having been a Developer myself for a long time and now being an Agile Coach, I recognise when behaviours of a technical person are advancing a project forwards and Bill was always thinking of ways to move the project forwards. Would definitely work with him again

Fortran to C++ CFD re-write -- 2

Our project was to re-write some ugly Fortran code from the 1970's into modern C++. Bill did a fantastic job translating the code and massivly improving the user interface. Bill was consistent in communication, even being 13 hours different. His dedication to our project was apparent. His high degree of experience shines thru his code. He's patient to explain aspects you don't understand. Would work with him again, absolutely, and would be our first choice for any software development.
