Import Product Images Into Woocommerce (Wordpress)

I have done something very similar before where I created a web-scraper to collect products from an e-commerce website on behalf of my client and enter the data, including images, into WooCommerce. My approach to the problem would be to create a WordPress plugin which would take the CSV file with the product IDs and programmatically download and insert the images into the WordPress media library then link the images to the product. From my prior experiences with this, I know how to work around script timeouts and memory limits that are often imposed by hosting providers (assuming there is one in this case.) This approach would require that the CSV which links the product IDs to images uses the same product ID as WooCommerce has for the products (if not this becomes a case of using both CSVs to match SKUs.)
