Compose a Melody and Record a Song

I have a poem that I would like to be converted into a song. I have attached the lyrics (which came from this contest: https://www.freelancer.com.au/contest/Write-a-Poem-391150.html).
You must compose the melody and make a recording the song. Ideally, I'd like the sheet music/TAB and audio recording to be handed over; however, if you can't create the sheet music the recording alone will be fine.
I'd like the recording to have the voice and at least one instrument (guitar, piano etc).
The music can be in any style (pop, country, R&B etc) but not a style that doesn't fit the tone of the lyrics (like death metal).
You can make minor alterations to the lyrics such as removing/rearranging/repeating stanzas or changing some words. However, the general tone of the lyrics should be the same.
No restrictions on the length of the song. Singer can be male or female.
The recording doesn't need to be studio quality. An mp3 from a reasonable mic is fine.
