Project – Algorithm Optimization (Proof of Concept for a larger dataset and ongoing project across multiple markets) Skills - Mathematics, query optimization, statistics & distribution, database programming, software development, Algorithms Delivery - ASAP One data set of approximately 15k records (market updates) is provided. This is provided in the attached sheet “Market Records”. Each record within this caries 16 variables including a score for each record. Through a combination of mathematics, query optimization, statistics & distribution, database programming, software development etc, I am looking for a freelancer to deliver the optimal query that will generate the highest score form the records. PLEASE NOTE - Time is NOT of the essence, the database is not part of the infrastructure, the optimal query is defined by the final score generated by the query. You must have the capability (or be able to develop a solution) to systematically run through the dataset automatically adjusting the variables and parsing the records to determine the highest score and therefore the optimum query. The query will use simple true/false logic driven out of each variable. The score is calculated by simply adding the all the scores for the records selected by the final query The records can be queried using any of the variables in the file (columns B-W) see attached excel, however there are some simple rules: 1. A minimum of score of 5 must be achieved. No queries scoring below 5 can be submitted 2. The only syntax’s available to be applied to the variables are greater than equal to, or less. The query cannot set min and max values. 3. Where two variables have the same number but two versions (See column headings) only one of these can be active in the query. They cannot both be enabled 4. You don’t have to enable/utilize all variables 5. No two records within 40seconds of each other (each record has timestamp) can be counted. The first record (in chronological order) is always the record that is scored. If a further record is included within 40seconds its score must be ignored. More than one query can be developed if required (Up to 6 queries permitted) and applied to data-set. The score for each query will contribute to the total, however rule 2 still applies, even across separate queries. Depending on bids for the project this project may be reposted to source more than one response, all accepted bids will be awarded on completion. The successful developer should be able to perform the same evaluation for a data-set of up to 200k records and be readily available for hire.
