For this project, write an analysis and response to a popular movie depicting juvenile delinquency/juvenile justice issues (e.g., policing juveniles, gangs, kids in trouble, etc.). Popular choices include (but are not limited to):  Kids (1995)  Boyz in the Hood (1991)  Bully (2001)  Gridiron Gang (2006)  Little Monsters (2012) The movie you address might be one that you have watched on television, in the theatres, or recently streamed via an internet service. You will write a 5-page, typed response/analysis of the movie using the course material and other sources to support your points. Be sure to start this assignment be providing a synopsis of the film. Consider the following while preparing your analysis:  Who are the Juvenile Delinquents? Include biographical/socio-economic information  What is the Juvenile’s lifestyle? Include items that may affect how the juvenile was raised or is currently living his or her life. Such categories as family, school, adult mentors, church, and drugs are factors that can influence a youth’s life in a major way, positively or negatively.  Who and why does the juvenile commit crime against?  What are the crime types represented and consequences portrayed in the film?  How is gang affiliation and the group processes depicted in the film?  What is the role of law enforcement, courts, and corrections in the film? You will not get full credit if you do not properly cite sources used for this assignment. Tell me how the movie matches or does not match what you learned during this course and why you think so.
