I need a simple program to read one set of registers in a Sentron PAC3200 meter 4 times per day and write them to a data file or a spreadsheet. I have the meter installed and the free program Powerconfig 3.8 runs on my Windows 8.1 PC, but it only reads in real time and doesn't log. I need a log file that will run for months until I need to do some math with it. I tried the AGG Modbus TCP/IP Data Logger software, and was helped to get it working. As demonstrated to me by the tech, it offered what I wanted. The trouble was when I paid for the Standard version $76 US yesterday, all of the Modules were missing and greyed out, so it now doesn't work. I requested a refund and am looking at new solutions.

Hi there, I worked with python library to read siemence pac devices, it should do the trick for you. I wonder if you'll be interesting to move your managing center from Windows to something Linux-based? say some arduino or pi - then you don't need to keep your Windows box online all the time. Anyway, let me know if you need help with measurements reading - might need to add Python to your windows box and will need remote access there to test scripts.
