We use a modified version of the old WordPress plugin “DB Toolkit”. The plugin has about 170 lines of code that use the old mysql_ php functions (eg: mysql_connect, mysql_query, mysql_fetch_assoc, mysql_num_rows, mysql_insert_id.
This means the plugin will not work in “PHP 7.0”. We want the plugin to work in “PHP 7.0”
We would like the mysql_ functions to be replaced by wordpress wpdb_ functions and/or “MySQLi” functions.
We have created a simple demo database application which works using “PHP 5.3” but fails in “PHP 7.0”. This demo application can be used for testing purposes.
The plugin may have other deprecated functions that no longer work in “PHP 7.0”. We would like this code to be fixed as well.
If you have past experience replacing mysql_ functions with wordpress wpdb_ functions and/or “MySQLi” functions we would like to hear from you.
