I need a website including some fairly common pages such as about-us, contact-us, rotating photo gallery, blog, however the most complex will be a colour-switching image processing function (detailed below). I am using a dedicated linux server for this purpose, so there are options for server side processing. I'm OK to install anything that makes sense, i.e. wordpress or whatever. Every thing needs to be mobile friendly as well, and I have future plans for an app as well, so please keep that in mind. The colour switching function is intended for users to see what their image would look like with different colours, i.e. if a wall was painted. It should work like this: 1. user uploads a photo, i.e. of their kitchen 2. photo is displayed, user can click on a specific point on the image, i.e. clicks on the white wall 3. the user is presented with a colour palette to pick from, user selects a colour to replace with. 4. the image is altered to replace the selected colour with the replacement colour within edges. there should be a threshold factor as well, such that very-similar coloured pixels are grouped together. this threshold can be adjusted by the end user so they can tweak the results. i.e. the white walls in the kitchen are now red 5. the altered photo is saved, the user is presented with an option to email the picture or discard it I prefer PHP and MYSQL where possible but am open to alternatives to make this work effectively. I'm also ok purchasing third party software for the backend if it makes it easier. To summarize: i'll provide a dedicated Linux server, you provide the entire website front and backend including the colour switching function. i have some designs and photos and layout in mind for the website, standard top nav type design.
