Prestashop: Integration with realtime inventory and speed improvements

I am using Prestashop 1.6.1.1 and have just started working with a warehouse which supplies me with realtime inventory levels via a text file that is available on their ftp site. I need a module or some code written that will take the text file on a regular basis (hourly?) and update the inventory levels in prestashop. Not all SKUs in the file will be found in Prestashop but a log file should be saved on the server listing what was updated and what wasn't. Log files should be automatically purged after 3 days.
An example of the text file is attached. The first column is the SKU (prestashop product reference number) and the last column is the available inventory to update PS. These are all simple products with no combinations/attributes.
In addition, my site needs to run faster and give better response times. I am using a fast server, LiteSpeed and a CDN but its still running slow. I would like someone with php, server and prestashop experience to take a look and see what can be tweaked to speed up my site.
