Further develop a website built on Zend 1

I'm currently looking for a php developer who has experience of building booking systems and Zend framework. My client has a reasonably functional but flawed booking systems on their site. So we're looking for a developer who can take on the site and bring the booking system and admin area up to scratch. We have very specific plans for the system so we're looking for someone who will stick tightly to the specification but who has the knowledge & experience to suggest optimal ways of doing things, won't cut corners and adheres to coding best practise. The previous developer who worked on this was from an agency but he has since left. My observations are that he was a fantastic backend developer but not so good at front end work. So it shouldn't be too difficult to get to grips with what has already been built, but improvements would be welcome. We will be able to provide all of the frontend design and the logic and rules for the backend system. We're looking for developers who live and work within a 100 mile radius of Tamworth as we'd like to be able to work face to face. Please note that this is a prerequisite that we won't compromise on so any over seas applicants will be immediately rejected.
