I look after a Property Portal website which imports a daily XML feed. The Component used in Joomla allows me to define the property 'Categories', however, the XSL file which is transforming the XML feed to comply is not set to check if the category already exists. If it does, I want the category to be set to what it is already set to, If not, I want ot set the category to a 'Catch all' category - perhaps called 'For Sale - Uncategorised' which I can setup in advance.
The XML feed contains a category 'Residential for sale' - but the XSL file is currently overwriting this and is setting a string taken from the property details 'Title'.
The XSL file needs to check first if the 'Category' already exists.
If category exists = 'True' then make property that category
else make property category 'For Sale - Uncategorised'. I will need to clearly understand where this is set so that I can perhaps set this to be called something else in the future.
I feel confident to do this job. I worked with ASARI API (integration with djclassifieds component - also included XML importing), so i think i will handle it.
