Hello, I’d like to be considered for your project. I am a senior developer with over 15 years of experience, specialising in web applications using mainly open source technologies (PHP, Zend Framework 1.0 through to 2.0) and MySQL Server databases. I have significant experience with many other related technologies and concepts such as HTML (including HTML5), CSS (including CSS3), XML/XSL, JavaScript(jQuery, ExtJS, Kendo UI, YUI, Google Maps API), AJAX, OOP and more. Over the years I have worked on a diverse range of projects for some large software companies covering industries such as telecoms, car leasing, recruitment, and training. With regard to your question, you haven't provided enough information how the script is supposed to work. It is not clear whether it will be implemented into existing software or it should run as a stand alone instance. If it's going to work separately I would suggest using SOAP or REST, although it's again up to how to proceed since both options would require some additional development on your end. I would probably choose REST as a lightweight service. If it will be implemented as part of existing software written in PHP I would suggest using PHP. However, the task seems to be quite trivial and I can't see any difficulties no matter the way you choose. I would be happy to get in touch with you to discuss any specific requirement you may have.
