Custom shipping calculator for Magento

I want to have EBay style shipping options in Magento.
There will 3 shipping options for domestic items - 1st class, 2nd class and Special Delivery.
Each individual SKU will have attributes saying the shipping costs of the products.
This includes the cost of the first item, as well as the extra cost for additional items.
An example can be seen if you go to the following link and click on 'See Details' next to the postage cost:

Similarly, our items will have these values as attributes.
If a customer purchases multiple items which have different postage costs, the system would use the most expensive from all items as the base cost, and then add the "Each additional item" charge from each respective item.
If you've read everything and have put a REAL bid.. then start your proposal with the words 'no placeholder' or you will be ignored.
Attached is a screenshot showing the attributes the products have. Magento version is 1.9.
