Requesting help to build a textbook shopping website for users that want to BUY, SELL, or RENT textbooks. It will be a price comparison tool. I have an existing site and URL. I’m looking to hire someone with AWS RDS, WordPress, HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, and JS experience. I’m looking to hire someone that can complete ALL 3 phases below.
Milestone 1 – Website Prototype (complete pages, overall color, and theme)
1. SEO is complete / Do not modify this
2. Complete the following pages.
a. Main Page – Search bar – option to either buy, sell, or rent. This will search and direct to either the buy, sell, or rent page
b. Buy Textbooks Page – display a search bar and table showing search results
c. Sell Textbooks Page – display a search bar and table showing search results
d. Rent Textbooks Page – display a search bar and table showing search results
Milestone 2 – Website Testing (search feature, compare prices, and database saving)
1. Search should accept ISBN-10 or ISBN-13 number provided. If either is provided, search and store both ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 numbers.
2. Search should allow more than one ISBN.
a. Single search – 978-01-34486833 (ignore hyphens)
b. Multiple search – 9780134486833, 9780134802749 (ignore hyphens)
c. Formatted search – 978-1305071759, 9780894139871 978-01-34802749 dfhs, 9780134486833 (grep only valid ISBN numbers.
3. Use a website like abebooks to find the ISBN-10, ISBN-13, Title, author, publishing year. Store this information in the AWS RDS DB (MySQL). This is a must-have.
4. Search websites below to find their current price, display in the appropriate table. Save this to the MySQL DB. This is a must-have.
5. Allow users to select the link and use my affiliate marketing ID.
Milestone 3 – reporting, website documentation, and maintenance
1. Provide an admin interface to pull reports from the DB
a. Report 1 - top 50 books based on Quoted Prices.
b. Report 2 – specific to a book – create a graph and information on historical pricing.
2. Code must be fully commented
3. Text documentation provided for future admin to modify
4. Picture/workflow documents to show overall structure
5. Must be desktop and mobile compatible.
