I’m looking for fixed-cost estimate from an experienced programmer (C, CSS, Javascript) to build a calculator on my website that determines daily calories, nutrition breakdown (protein, carbohydrates, fat) and daily meal plan based on a user’s inputs. There will be about 12-15 user inputs (age, gender, height, weight, etc)
This is a rough outline of what the whole process would look like:
Step 1: a user enters all of their stats into the calculator (height, weight, gender, etc) and the calculator would then provide the total daily required calories with the breakdown of protein, fats, and carbs (similar to this one [login to view URL])
Step 2: the user then selects the number of meals they would like to eat per day and the calculator would then divide the total daily calories and nutrients into equal sized meals.
Step 3: each meal will have a list of food choices (based on a pre-determined list of foods) and the portion sizes for those foods based on the person's pre-determined needs.
Step 4: the user will have the ability to “select” (using a checkbox type of feature) certain foods for each meal and create themselves a customized daily diet.
Step 5: the user can then export their customized diet into a pdf document or similar type of file.
