We're looking to develop a touch-screen computer controller and software that will control a group of stepper/servo motors (1 motor is sufficient, but additional are no harm).
The motors will be connected to hydraulic pump which will control a piston. We need to make sure the increase of pressure caused by the piston being raised is at an accurate pace rate... for example we may need it to start at a speed of 10kn/sec until the pressure on the specimen (caused by pressure on the Piston) reaches 20kn - at which point the speed will be 3kn/sec - this is just an example for your reference.
The controller will further be connected to a pressure transducer which will give us a reading of the hydraulic pressure on the Piston - which will be converted to kn. On some of our devices we will also have a displacement transducer which will provide us with displacement information fed into the computer controller.
The speed of the stepper motor needs to be able to be adjusted according to displacement vs. time or (mm/sec) or kpa/sec or kn/sec.
The software itself will be quite basic and will simply give us live reading of the pressure and displacement vs. time in different combinations and drawn out on a graph. It will also display the maximum displacement and maximum pressure during the test, pressure or displacement at time of specimen failure (when specimen breaks we will have a sudden drop in pressure - this will indicate end of test).
At the end of the test, the results will be displayed on a graph and will display the full test summary.
I would be interested in seeing an SDK option on this software or something similar which will simply allow us to provide an equation using time/pressure/displacement within custom inputted calculations to give results as we would like to program it.
What I need is either someone who is willing to simply design the software, someone who is willing to design the PCB (offer a quote per unit, etc...)
We will initially get 1 test unit and test it out of course, then we will run a test batch of 100 units and take things from there.... I'd also be interested in seeing what the costs/unit for production are and what options we have.
I've included of some similar device that some of our competitors or suppliers are already making... we are already making these as well but it's a ready-made package and we are looking to customize something for us specifically.
The controller should be able to connect via RJ45 and should have an on-board printer, would be nice to have Bluetooth, Wifi, HDMI, etc... as extra options - something a basic SBC can work with... as a base OS we can go with either Linux or even install Android on it and make this simply an Android software.
