We have helped migrate many desktop applications to web applications and can do a good job. Hello, There are two ways how to "convert" your Access based app to standalone. One way - it is develop web app which will be located (hosted) on some server in internet. Something like Google Docs or Youtube. In this case you will be able sell the service. In other words you will sell the access to your app functionality based on some financial model: per hour/month/annual payment, or per sub-service cost. The advantage of such approach are: 1) you would not deliver any physical media (CD) to client; 2) all updates can be done ones on the server (centralized point) for all clients; 3) payments can be received over internet. Disadvantage of such approach are: 1) it will be difficult to customize software per client's need; 2) software will work only if client is connected to internet; 3) you should trust company who hosts app on server. Sometimes, clients don't want to store financial data in internet. Alternative solution is development standalone desktop app. Like MS Office. Pros are: 1) app can be customized per client; 2) it will work in offline (without internet access); 3) client is responsible for own data security. Cons are: 1) as for me it is more expensive solution because there have to be developed a lot of "support functionalities" like app copy protection (we should somehow guaranty that client will not make application copy "for friend").
