Hi, I'm Matt and would like to help you yet the requirements are hardly compatible with the script from Envato (otherwise I'm an IT developer and a webmaster for 22 years). Adding choosing columns and dragging them to a chart to automatically refresh the chart "categories" to display would mean hard and incompatible changes for any future (dashboard) script update (from Envato). The script works with "hard data" (entered in the dashboard chart configuration) or by having a JSON file (that could be scripted e.g. uploading CSV or Excel, saving it to a web server location as a JSON file and then use that for chart data). So if you intend to use the script with adding a button to upload the CSV or Excel file, converting it on the webserver to JSON and then use the JSON file as a data source I could help you. I think about adding a button to open a popup window after uploading the CSV or Excel file and in that window selecting the columns to use on the chart. That would save only the selected columns data subset to the (new or overwriting existing) JSON file and use and automatically update the chart using existing dashboard script functionality. Those additional JSON files could be added to the list (in the mentioned popup window) and removed by the Remove button next to them or selected to use etc. Looking forward to your reply.
