Dynamic Timelines

Dynamic Timeline for Our Website. AJAX interactive webpage. Zoom levels, optional views and data streaming conceptually similar to Google Maps. LAMP platform (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Php). Spreadsheet like tables of data will display graphically on historical timeline from BC to AD dates (years only- no month or day information). Additional features: -options for viewing people, empires, or events (individually in some views, simultaneously in others) -pop-ups with links to other portions of site -various views accessing multiple tables of data simultaneously -administrator interface for adding and updating data in tables -administrator interface matrix for controlling viewing variables ## Deliverables This project is quite complex. There will be 6 milestones that break it into smaller projects to help the project flow along. Attached documents provide sampling of project. These are not final documents but they should be sufficient to give a good feeling for the job. Timeline Demo: gives graphic sample of the first 6 zoom levels for one of the three timeline types. The three timeline types are: People (shown), Empires, and Events. There will be a total of 10 zoom levels. As with Google maps each zoom level will add or subtract information that is shown on the timeline according to the settings matrix and the table data. Timeline Specifications: gives an outline of many of the features and settings required on the final project. Timeline Tables: gives sample data for each of the three timeline types (people, empires, and events). Interface will allow table data to be editted or new table data to be input either manually or by copying and pasting data from a spreadsheet. Additional documents will be provided both based on request and as I get closer to picking a coder.
