Important this project description is read and understood in its entirety as if you are chosen for the project there are terms herein which are binding. In addition, failure to understand and respond accordingly will likely result in your bid being ignored.

First of all, we require that anyone bidding on this project be in the U.S. No other bids will be considered. If we choose someone from this bidding process they will be required to sign an NDA and also will agree that anything created for us under the terms of the project will become our property without further compensation other than as mutually agreed upon prior to commencement of the project.

The person bidding on this project needs to be creative and resourceful and have experience with XAJAX, PHP, JS, CSS and HTML as the project will require development using those skills. Overall, its a reasonably simple project that should not be overly complex or complicated for someone with the proper skillset.

We have a website that sells a product that is custom printed. The website has a special tool which allows the person to design their item online. When they submit the design it integrates the information directly into a custom built shopping cart that is written in PHP. Once they submit the design and complete the order the design is available via the admin panel for admin to see when they drill down to the customer order.

The tool is currently written in flash. The client had it custom designed years ago and didn't know better at the time to make certain of having the source code provided to him when the job was completed. Therefore, there is no source code. But that is rather mute anyways since we want the tool redesigned and do not want to use flash but are simply providing this information for informational and background purposes. We do however want the tool to be similar in design and function to the existing one except we want it rewritten to use xajax and javascript and to make it possible for the client to be able to make design and product display changes within the tool in a method that does not require them to know any of the technical stuff. In addition, as mentioned, this is integrated with the shopping cart and therefore any changes made to the tool would have to integrate with the shopping cart. Along that line we also want some improvements to the shopping cart and admin panel, again along the lines of making it easier for the client to update products and product information and as well, additional security and updating of the PHP code to better reflect the latest version of PHP but its mostly all basic stuff for someone experienced in PHP since we have a fully working program now that simply needs some updating not rewritten.

So this is the basics of what we are looking for. The url of the live production site will be provided once we have established you are interested and capable via your bid.

Should we choose to work together, payment will work like this. First of all, we will not put the bid amount or project amount into escrow since we will not tie up the money this way until we know and are confident we are going to get what we are asking for. So you must be confident you are capable of providing what we need and we must be confident as well. But if you look at our feedbacks you will see we are easy to work for, trustworthy and always pay fast. We just will not pay for anything we have not yet received, been burned too many times for that. If we do agree to work together we can setup some milestones and we will gladly pay portions of the project amount based upon completion of said milestones but nothing in advance until we see work being done, simple as that.

So these are the basics. Please ask your questions and we are glad to provide more extensive details upon interest.
