Simple Ethernet Connector Plug in detection

Hello, i need a simple circuit, which detects when a Ethernet cable (RJ45 Plug) is plugged in or when the ethernet network is active. Normally I could use the connect pin of the ethernet controller, but the controller is normally not powered on. I use the signal to power on the network and controller.
