I have a small intranet application that lists files and folders in directories - this list is displayed in a web browser. Note that: - This only has to be IE/Windows compatable. - All users of this intranet are inside the network it runs on. The intranet is not accessible outside the local network. - This being the case, users computers can be adjusted if neccesary to allow for the following functionality. I need to get jscripts that will allow the user to do the following: - if the item listed is a file and the file is an EXE, the user should be able to click it and have it begin the installer, without the Save/open dialog box. This last part is very important. The client does not want that save/open dialog box - if the item is a folder, or a shortcut to a folder, this should just open the folder - like it would if you double-clicked a folder on your desktop.
