DATA ENTRY FOR ASP DATABASE (MBB)

PRODUCT DATA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS for online DB (MBB) Bid requested by: Dr. Kev at [login to view URL] I am looking for someone to enter 100 digital product titles into my newly created asp database. This does not require much technical skill, just time and dedication to enter the data and upload the products to my web site. If you do a good job, there is the possibility of more work for you. I will supply you with a list of products that need to be entered into the db. Most of those products will have all the info you will need for all data entry fields. There are 16 data entry items that need to be entered for each product, and 3 of them are drop-down lists. Accuracy and is more important than speed for me, but I would also like this work completed within a week after acceptance of your bid. Each item will also require you to upload a boxcover image file (in JPEG) and also upload each digital product (ebook, video, or audio file, etc.) to my website. I will provide you with access to the 100 products I want entered into the system. You must have very fast web access to upload the books (as in a satellite dish or comparable speed). If you do not have a way to upload my digital products quickly, then you may not wish to take on this project because it will require many hours of sitting around waiting for products to upload to my web site, and I don’t want to pay you for that. Here is a snapshot of the data entry screen you will use (see the attached ZIP file) ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. The bidder asked if I will provide the product images (Yes, I will). And every other piece of information that needs to be entered into the db. I will provide all images and product descriptions to be loaded into the db as well as all products that need to be loaded onto my web site. You don't have to go looking for any of it. Plus, as a bonus, I will provide the winning bidder with access to all of the data in the database for at least one month after the project is completed (longer, if I hire you for ongoing data entry). This means you will initially have access to over $1,000 worth of digital products on the topic of internet marketing. If this has any value to you, you may wish to adjust your bid accordingly to become more competitive. I apologize for this oversight. The vast majority of the products are less than 30 MB in size. In any event, you will need to have a broadband or better internet connection, otherwise, you will be spending all your time sitting and waiting for the products to download and upload. You will need to download the products from one site and upload them to mine. You will have direct access to the target (upload) site and will not need FTP software. Also, you may need to put some products into a zip file before uploading them to my site. Hope this helps. Some bidders have asked if they can automate the loading of data into the target database. This is a good idea, however, it won't work in this instance. I am happy to share this with all bidders. Here is a brief outline of the steps that will or may be needed to enter each record into the database: 1. Download the digital product (audio, video, ebook, etc.) from a source web site - each product is usually around 2-3 mb - but up to possibly 30 mb in some instances. 2. Occasionally create a boxcover image (using an image capture tool like Snagit), or most often use the image provided at the source web site. 3. Ensure that the product is enclosed in a ZIP file. Upload the product and product boxcover image to my designated web site. 4. Enter the data about each product into the database using the 16-point data entry screen attached with my original bid request. All data required for the data entry scree n will be provided at the source web site, or will be evident from a quick examination of the product. If this information makes any difference on your bid (+ or -), then please make an adjustment on your bid amount. Thank you.
