Repair linux server and tighten up security

I need someone to find and repair whatever is keeping my server/website from going online. It i hosted on a dedicated server and as of now you can access it while its in a recover mode only. Must truly understand linux (specifically Centos) understand how to read the logs and fix the problem without causing data loss. I would also like the server to be more secure with updated iptables and unique ports for ssh
