Elastix / Asterisk Pause & Unpause Recording

We have a telephone system running elastix 4 on an EC2 container within amazon cloud. We record all telephone calls outbound and inbound. We are about to start taking customers card information over the phone so need the ability to pause the call recordings while the card details are read by the customer and then resumed to complete the call. When the call is played back, the call recording should have silence or perhaps the hold music when the customer is reading the details. I would like it where the sales agent can press a key combination, for example #1 to pause recording, it will then do a short beep so the customer is aware the recording is paused. Then the recording can be resumed with #2 and after another short beep the call recording continues. The final recording should be the entire call but either silence or hold music on the part where card details are disclosed.
