Think Around Corners is a growing company specializing in Analytics and Conversion Optimization. We are looking for an experienced Freelance Jr. Developer to work part-time, and on a project-to-project basis. Be aware, we are looking for more of an individual to work with, not a software development company. === Junior Developer Role: Think Around Corners (TAC) is in need of a knowledgeable Freelance Junior Developer for these tasks: === PROGRAMMING: Have a solid capability with PHP and front-end --- Front-end skills, like HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery --- PHP chops that will deal with customized code in WordPress and Magento, and other CMS --- Modifying PHP layouts, troubleshooting, etc. --- Writing shortcode in WordPress === DATA: The basics of data structing for data visualization --- Proficient in MySQL, APIs, etc. --- Merging data into big-ass dashboards === ANALYTICS: Implement and Customize analytics code --- Proficient in Google Analytics (GA) - not the reporting side, rather setup and customization --- Be competent at adding code to Google Tag Manager (GTM) (GA + GTM tweaking is critical for our company) --- Worked with Advanced Segments within GA --- Event Tracking, and how to lay down the code === UX: A basic 'eye' for UX and layout --- Break-down crappy layouts and suggest visual changes --- Know your C.R.A.P. of Design - or learn it === SERVER: --- Basic server configuration capabilities --- Creation of MySQL databases, --- Moving websites to other servers === SOFT SKILLS (important!) --- Project estimation skills and accountability --- Everyone says it, but you must be a great - not good - communicator --- A bit of training on the job can be compensated for, but you must be willing to learn -- and there is a lot to learn. Pay is on a per-project basis. A future part-time or even a full-time position is a possibility. We're looking for smarts and ambition to add to our team.
