Build a Website

Hi All, I am currently looking to work with an experienced WordPress developer who will be able to bring my website into the modern era. At present, we have WordPress deployed on a host using cPanel. As part of this project, you will be given access to the WordPress account and would be required to build the site in an easy to use and accessible manner. Our previous website had over 50 pages accessible through the menu - I am looking to condense this down into about 5. Before granting access, I would like to see a design mockup of what you would implement. Ideally you would also be able to design a new logo for us, but this is entirely optional. About us: We are a small scale managed security services organization based in Melbourne, Victoria. We have a small number of dedicated clients who engage on a month-to-month managed service agreement for management of their McAfee security infrastructure (primarily). We also work with security companies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, RSA and soon we will bring on a few more as our team grows. We have also dabbled in the mobile app development field and may look at more of this in the future. Our current site is swiftmsp.com.au. It is nothing special - We want you to help us change that! Everything from our colours, to our logo, to the contents of our website will be entrusted into your capable hands. Note: We purchased the X Theme for wordpress. We would like to keep it if possible, but are open to other ideas. We are ok with purchasing other theme packs if it will produce a good result and will take recommendations on this from the selected person. About you: You can be based anywhere in the world, do not need to attend on site and communication can be entirely by email. You will have had experience with Wordpress deployments in the past and would (ideally) have an example or two we could look at so as to pick the best fit for our requirements. The site will be reasonably simple, without a customer portal (This is not done directly with our clients rather than by the website) or ecommerce. For the initial project, we would like dummy information to be placed on the wordpress site. We plan to have a technical writer draft the wording for the site, however if you are also experienced with this please let us know as we will be looking for this in the future. We haven't used freelancer for a project before, but we are keen to engage on a fixed price if possible. Price will not be the only discerning factor though. We are comfortable providing payments as work is underway in a milestone approach, or as a lump sum at the end. Note: You will need to be able to issue a tax invoice for all owing at the close of the project. Note2: Strictly no copyrighted images can be used without permission of the author. We are ok with paying usage fees, but please note this in your project. Public domain images would be most ideal where possible.
