Build a Website

WOWO NOOSA is our name and connecting holiday makers is our game. Wax on... Wax off... I am looking for a designer who can create my website using Wordpress. A clean simple to navigate site with lots of pictures and a journal attached. This is a site about Noosa in Queensland, Australia. Holiday renting and interior styling/decorating is my game so promoting properties with beautiful interior photos and pictures of Noosa will be the feature. Think chasing the white on the screen will be your goal to keep it clean. It will be very pictorial, monochromatic, have limited information but will have stories on it's people and businesses through the journal. I will have a shopping cart to add down the track. Links to social media are essential and a seamless view via all devices is a must. This is going to be simple, highly visual with great photography. Functionality is important to our audience. Noosa is a natural, raw, organic, beach wanderlust. The hinterland is dotted with creative hippy folk who are doing great things. We have local artisans who create amazing ventures or businesses who need their stories told through my journal. Who is the audience? It is the backpacker in Iceland searching for their next adventure, it is the business man in Singapore who is sitting at his desk during lunch trolling accommodation for his next beach holiday, or the mother of 2 small children in Melbourne who is sourcing a holiday home for her next family getaway in Noosa on Main Beach with her absent, overworked husband, and let's not forget the local who is keen to know about the new exciting restaurant opening near them. The site is simple to navigate, a feast for the tired eye that needs a place to rest and drift away in a warm beach dream with sophistication and designer influences. We will go on tour (WOWO On Tour), when we holiday or have locals blogging for us about their latest destination they discovered outside of Noosa. I have 2 sites that I love the design elements of and the layout is similar to what I would like to achieve. The website needs to be user friendly so I can make changes easily, input text, upload images etc. It needs to be secure, include SEO and visitor behaviour tracking features. I will be hiring someone who has proven work and experience. I am allowing a 2 week turnaround to build the site and I am flexible on this timeframe however I ask that you keep in mind that this job needs to be finished within a timely manner. Any technicalities I have missed or overlooked that you think I should add or ensure I have included in the site will help your chances of winning this job. I look forward to working with you. I am wanting something specific but it is not too complicated. I am unfamiliar with the jargon and coding so I am hoping the developer won't take advantage of my lack of knowledge. I will learn as I go and eventually it will become apparent if the developer is not doing the right thing by me. Do you understand where I am coming from? I have reservations in using Freelancer but my budget fits this model of sourcing a developer.
