Upon execution of the macro 1. Macro establishes the text whic is to be actied upon 2. The text may be 2a - That of a highlighted cell OR it may be 2b - Text highlighted within a cell 3. Macro established the strikethrough status of the text in question 4. Macro toggles the strikethrough status of said text. Example 1 - Cell A1 is selected and has text "aaaaa bbbbb ccccc" Executing macro with cause the text to have strikethrough effect enabled. Executing the macro again causes the text to have the strikethrough effect removed. Example 2 - Cell A1 is selected and has text "aaaaa bbbbb ccccc" F2 has been struck so that the cell test is being edited. Cal this in-cell-edit-mode The last portion of text "ccccc" has been selected by holding the shift key down and pressing back arrow 5 times Executing macro with cause the text "ccccc" only to have strikethrough effect enabled. The other text in the cell "aaaaa bbbbb" is unaffected Once the macro ends it is not important if in-cell-edit-mode is stil active. It may be that once the macro ends the cursor is no longer in in-cell-edit-mode but the entire cell is highlighted by the cursor

Hi I can do this. I will create a demo Macro to toggle the strike through as you mention in a couple of hour. I noticed in your example 2 , you try to run Macro in cell edit mode , But Excel wont allow this. The example 2 is not possible. Please initiate the chat to start the work. Thanks, ISupportU

Hi there, I just came across your project and wanted to let you know that there is an Excel shortcut that will allow you to do this strikethrough very easily and per your requirements above. Try holding the Ctrl key and then hitting the number 5. It will strikethrough and also remove it. I'm not sure if there was a particular reason you wanted a macro vs. using this, so if that's the case then definitely disregard. No need to pay me anything - just trying to help out. If this does end up being helpful, a review would be awesome as I am new to this site and am trying to get some work or supplemental income but also don't feel obligated. Thanks! Logan
