In this project,

It is a very simple project if you worked with finite element. It is simply post processing results. I am attaching an FEM post processor using Matlab. (attached [url removed, login to view])

I need to generate corresponding output for the points in the radial coordinate system. The points are represented by the yellow stars in pdf file. In engineering language, this is a composite with fibers and I need to generate the polar points (theta and r) of the common matrix medium. These points will be used to calculate the corresponding field variables displacements and stresses. I have already a program that calculates displacements and stresses but need to generate these points.

I also have a program that produces surface plots for displacements and stresses inside the fibers as shown by contour_ plots_pts.jpg.

tasks:

* Verify that contour plots inside fibers you will not verify the calculations but you will verify that the contour plots are for the corresponding points in space.

* Generate the polar coordinate points (theta and r) for points. The points will be dense between fibers. As shown in attached pdf file.

* Organize output in a manner similar to finite element

-Radial points in space are nodes with theta and r locations

% node numbers r theta Z

1.0000 0.3000 0.0000 0

-Field variables' values corresponding to these nodes

% node numbers radial stress shear stress

1.0000 1.00+[url removed, login to view] 0.00+[url removed, login to view]

* Plot (use existing codes) to generate the outcome in both surface and contour plots for the points outside fibers.

================

Again this is a seed hourly based project for potential future rehire.

I used surface and contour interchangeably to mean those plots generated by finite element packages for stresses and displacements.
