we require a Turbo compressor of 45 MWe equivalent for fulfillment of requirement of compressed air at Oxygen plant. This turbo-compressor will be installed at Turbine building of 6X135 MW . There are two options we have thought of.
The turbo-compressor will be installed in parallel to Unit # 1 taking steam from Unit #. Unit # 1 will operate @ 80 MW and rest steam will be used to run turbo compressor.
All 6 Units' Main steam lines will be connected to a single header. At any point of time, 3 Units are in operation. It is proposed to extract 50 TPH of steam from one of running Units so that with 150 TPH steam, the 45MWe turbo-compressor will run. It is not necessary that individual Unit will run @ 135 MW. We are ready to sacrifice load generation. The condensate from condenser of turbo-compressor will come to a single condensate storage tank and from where the condensate will be pumped to running units through a single header.
We request for give a proposal for engineering with any other option also for fulfilling of our requirement I.e. running of one no. of turbo compressor of 45MWe equivalent by extracting steam from existing 6 Nos of Boiler.
