Hi, yes the idea would be a "joule thief", but the piezo generates high tensions already !!! which facilitates being needed only a rectifier using schottky or germanium diode and a marriage of impedance with the load that can be done via diode etc. zener.

Hi, Please tell me your requirements and I will start working on it. I want to mention that a piezoelectric element would generate very small current so it would be better to make a series-parallel connection of multiple elements. That would increase current and voltage both and it might be enough to charge a battery. I would work on Matlab Simulink as it already has an example script for the piezoelectric element.
